Chiropractor: Dr. Katherine Angus, BScK, DC, EFR Katherine is a diversified practitioner whose primary goal is to get all of her patients moving and feeling their best. Following a patient-centered model, Katherine individually tailors every treatment plan to meet the specific needs of each patient. Her treatment techniques include Activator, spinal and extremity manipulation, joint mobilization, soft tissue therapy and custom orthotics. Katherine is certified in Clinical Acupuncture and has obtained her Graston Technique M1 certification. Katherine also provides patient education regarding posture, ergonomics, nutrition and stress management. Katherine is in good standing with her regulatory body, the College of Chiropractors of Ontario, and is an active member of the Ontario Chiropractic Association and Canadian Chiropractic Association. Katherine was born and raised in North Toronto. From childhood to current day, Katherine regularly participates in a number of sports including ice hockey, squash and golf. She enjoys seeking out new challenges and indulging in her adventurous side whenever possible.
Registered Massage Therapist: Anna MacLean, RMT Anna loves to help people relax, move out of pain, and increase their mobility and body awareness. She loves observing the way massage therapy promotes well-being through relaxation, better sleep, recovery from injury and easing tension or pain from life's daily activities. Anna's style combines calming relaxation massage and specific deep pressure, adapting to the individual treatment needs of each person.
Originally from Nova Scotia, Anna has been a proud local to the Junction neighborhood for the past decade. She and her family enjoy all the good food, parks, and events this community has to offer.
Certified Pilates Instructor: Sherry Lowe-Bernie Sherry has been teaching Pilates since 1997 and for the last thirteen years has been the resident Certified Pilates Teacher at the Atlas Chiropractic Centre. Sherry specializes in modifying the classical exercises developed by Joseph Pilates so that they provide the maximum benefit for her clients. Sherry trained with the renowned PhysicalMind Institute, which is based in New York CIty. She is certified to teach Mat and Equipment Pilates (Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair) as well as Standing Pilates. She has also earned specialist certificates in Pilates for Osteoporosis and Herniated Discs. In 2007 she earned the internationally recognized Pilates Method Alliance certification, one of only twenty Canadian teachers to do so. Sherry’s spare time is spent hanging out with her “boys”; husband Brent and yellow lab Levi. She loves traveling in Italy and is slowly but surely becoming fluent in Italian.
Office Admin: Michell Corona Born and raised in Toronto, Michell enjoys the city life for the food it has to offer. She loves to try new food whenever she gets the chance. When Michell is not working she likes to catch up on her fitness goals, reading and spending time with her family.
